As the entire country enters the total lockdown for 21 days in an attempt to slow or prevent the spread of the coronavirus, how you are going to spend your days inside your homes, is becoming a big question? We can build our wellness routine in 2020, or we can learn a new habit, or we can keep cringing about the lockdown, and make it more difficult, then it already is.

For most working professionals staying inside their home is not a big deal as most of their time gets utilized in the same way it used to be in offices, thanks to work from home. For many, business owners and employees for whom the job description required them to be on the field or work with groups, it’s really taking a toll now. It could be a good time for many to overcome the ill-effects of sedentary lifestyle.

For many, working from home can be lonely and discomforting, and can lead to various anxiety and depression problems. But 21 days is a good time to start building a new habit or a new skill. It’s exactly the time, science says your mind needs to register its place in your daily schedule. However, there are things that can be done to make these 21 days of the lockdown the best days of your lives. It is scientifically proven that if we want to build a new habit, we just need to do it for 21 days, at the same time, at the same place, and it starts to integrate into our daily habits. So, here are the things you can do in these 21 days of the lockdown to bring a positive change in your lifestyle:

Focus on building a good morning routine

Start your day by waking up early with a smile. Stretch your body a little and practice meditation, yoga or other forms of physical exercises for at least 20-30 minutes. You can take a stroll on your terrace or in your home garden. Take five minutes to cool down after your workout and then settle down at a comfy desk and write your goals down. Have a healthy breakfast and start your day with positivity.

Take regular breaks

This is especially crucial for the individuals who are working from home. Sitting for prolonged hours to complete a task can introduce sedentary ailments in your life. And while you are protecting yourself from coronavirus your body might develop other major health issues.  Therefore, it is important to reduce mental as well as physical fatigue. This way you not only make yourself happy but also your near and dear ones.

Focus on good eating and drinking habits

Now, as you are at home focus on drinking more water and eat only healthy foods. Add vegetables, herbs such as garlic, ginger, ashwagandha, turmeric, honey, fruits, whole grains and other healthy things to your diet. Focus on chewing your food completely and don’t skip meals. Boosting your immunity by eating healthy foods is a must to lower your chances of getting infected from any disease.
